Join us here in beautiful Boulder, CO for a free factory tour. From raw ingredients to finished products, you’ll learn all about the wonderful world of tea and see how our wholesome products are blended, packaged and shipped. You'll never look at tea the same way again!

Tea Tour Information

The Celestial Seasonings factory tour is not your average tour experience. We take you into our tea manufacturing facility itself – so you get to be in the heart of the action!

Our free tour takes 45 minutes to complete. After a short video introduction, visitors enjoy a 30-minute walking tour through our tea factory. Tours are guaranteed on the hour for walk-in public. Maximum 45 people per tour. Tickets are first come, first served. Please see below for important information about wheelchair accessibility, minimum age requirements and more. 

While you’re here, be sure to visit our Tea Shop, featuring Celestial Seasonings teas and gifts plus healthful foods and personal care products from the Hain Celestial family of brands. On weekdays, join us at the Celestial Café, where you’ll enjoy a delicious breakfast or lunch in a welcoming environment full of our iconic artwork.

We are closed on most major holidays, including: Easter, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Day (closing at 3pm on Christmas Eve) and New Year's Day (closing at 3pm on New Year's Eve).

Know Before Your Visit

  • Our factory follows strict FDA requirements and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) to ensure the safety of our employees and tourists. Please keep in mind these restrictions during your visit at Celestial Seasonings.
  • Children under 5 years of age are not allowed on factory portion of the tour.
  • Children under 15 must be accompanied by an adult.
  • Photography is prohibited in the factory.
  • Hairnets and beard nets covering facial hair are required in the factory.
  • Food, drinks, gum and glass containers are not allowed in the factory.
  • Service animals are not allowed in the factory. 
  • Restrooms are not available during the factory portion of the tour.
  • Smoking allowed only in designated areas.
  • Courtesy wheelchairs are available for guests but they are limited in quantity and are available on a first come, first served basis.  Tour Guides will not be available to push wheelchairs in the factory. 
  • Tour participants must allow the tour guide to lead at all times. 
  • Prohibited items policy includes items that we determine may be harmful or disruptive to our guests or employees.  Examples of prohibited items include but are not limited to: alcoholic beverages or any illegal substance under state or federal law, weapons of any kind or objects that appear to be weapons (including toy guns such as squirt guns, nerf guns, etc.)  Drones, remote control devices, skateboards, scooters, inline skates and shoes with built-in wheels.
  • Reservations are required for all group tours.  Advanced reservations are required for groups of 8 or more. 
  • Groups with chaperones:  We require a minimum of 2 chaperones for any group of 5 or more, 3 chaperones for groups of 6-24, 4 chaperones for groups of 24-45.  The maximum number of guests per tour is 45.  Groups with 45 or more will need to secure the appropriate number of reservation spots.  Chaperones must be at least 18 years of age and are responsible for ensuring members of their group comply with all applicable policies and procedures.  Groups are required to remain together at all times and chaperones should be in the front and back of the group.  You will be required to identify your group’s chaperones before your tour begins.  Failure to comply with policies and procedures will result in cancellation of the group’s tour.
  • Outside food is not permitted in our tour center or café. You may utilize our outside tables or purchase food from the café. Contact our Café for group reservations at 303-581-1308.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you have a restaurant?

Yes! The Celestial Café is open to the public for breakfast and lunch Monday through Friday. Breakfast is 7am-10am and Lunch is 11am-2pm (soup and salad bar available till 2:30pm). The Café offers a special group menu for school and special needs groups. Please contact the Café Manager for more information and for reservations for groups of 8 or more at 303-581-1308.

Do you have an online store for the merchandise in the Tea Shop?

Yes! You can purchase all of our teas and some Celestial Seasonings merchandise at our Online Store.

Can I take photos?

We have lots of photo opportunities before and after the tour, but photos are prohibited inside the factory itself.

Can I take my small child on the tour?

For safety reasons, children under 5 are not allowed on the factory portion of the tour.

I have a large group coming for the tour. Should I make a reservation?

Yes. Reservations are required for any non-family group of 8 or more, or any group with special needs. Please call 303-581-1266 to make a reservation.

Do I have to make a reservation for the tour?

Reservations are not required for individuals, families and small groups, but are required for non-family groups of 8 or more. Tours leave every hour on the hour and are first-come, first-served for walk-in guests. We add extra tours during busy times like holidays and summer.

Is the tour wheelchair accessible and do you have wheelchairs?

Yes and yes! The tour route is completely wheelchair accessible. Wheelchairs are available on a first- come, first-served basis in the Tour Center.

How long is the tour?

From start to finish, the factory tour is 45 minutes long—including a 10-minute video and 30-minute walking tour in the factory.
