Luo han guo
Siraitia grosvenorii
This exotic fruit grows on a perennial vine in East Asia and is also cultivated in some parts of the tropics. The major known component of this fruit is glucose. We use it in our teas because it has a sweet, caramel, toffee-like flavor. You may see the name Luo han guo spelled different ways. We use the spelling found in the book Herbs of Commerce.
