Cola acuminata

You are most familiar with this herb from its use in a highly popular soda drink. What you may not know is that the Cola acuminata tree has a really pretty flower — yellow with purple spots — and is native to West Africa, where people have chewed cola nuts since prehistoric times. These "nuts" are actually seed leaves, also called "cotyledons", which contain caffeine.
