Black Teas

Black tea is made from the dried leaves of the Camellia sinensis plant.Black tea, or what we commonly think of when someone mentions “tea,” is made from the dried leaves of the Camellia sinensis plant, a white-flowered evergreen bush native to China and India. Black tea leaves are allowed to oxidize as they are being exposed to warm, dry air, causing the leaves to darken and bringing out a full-bodied tea flavor with a reddish-amber hued brew. At Celestial Seasonings, we use only the highest quality tea leaves from the finest global tea estates to craft our line of distinctive black teas.

Black tea is good for your body because it naturally contains a very powerful class of antioxidants that are effective at combating the harmful molecules known as “free radicals.” When left unchecked, free radicals build up in the body, which can ultimately compromise the body’s well-being. By taming free radicals, antioxidants help to maintain the body’s good health.

Celestial Seasonings offers a wide range of healthful and delicious black teas in both flavored and unflavored varieties, and offers a selection of naturally decaffeinated flavors as well.
