Brewing Methods

Brew the Perfect Cup

  • Boil

    Bring fresh, filtered water to a rolling boil.

  • Steep

    Pour 1 cup water over a tea bag in a cup. Steep 3 to 5 minutes and remove tea bag.

  • Enjoy

    Add milk and/or sweetener if desired and enjoy.

  • Try it Iced

    Pour 2 cups boiling water over 4 tea bags in a heat-resistant pitcher. Prepare as above, then add 2 cups cold water. Serve over ice. Makes one quart.

Sweet Harvest Pumpkin Apple Chutney

This sweet and savory treat is wonderful with pork or turkey as part of any holiday feast!


  • 2 cups water
  • 2 bags Celestial Seasonings Sweet Harvest Pumpkin Holiday Black Tea
  • 1/2 cup raisins
  • 6 Macintosh apples, chopped (or use Granny Smith apples for a tarter flavor)
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts


Boil water in a heavy saucepan. Add tea bags, lower to a simmer and steep for 5 minutes. Remove and discard the bags, then add the remaining ingredients. Cook for at least 1 hour, stirring often, until you get desired texture (thick and chunky).
