Community Support: From Local to Global

Celestial Seasonings has always believed that the goodness of our teas should be exceeded only by the goodness of our actions toward our world. We know that our efforts truly make a difference in our local community and all around the world, so we give back to charities and social organizations in our home state of Colorado, across the country and around the world.

B Strong Ride: We’re title sponsors of the Celestial Seasonings B Strong Ride, a family cycling event that raises funds for organizations like Boulder Community Hospital’s Center for Integrative Care and the George Karl Foundation. The 2014 B Strong Ride featured more than 800 riders and raised nearly $350,000 in contributions!
Community Shares of Colorado: For more than a decade, we’ve supported the good work of this homegrown nonprofit group through a company-wide fundraiser each holiday season. Community Shares provides funding and raises awareness for more than 100 local charities in our community (from human and health services and animal welfare to the arts, women's issues, social change and the environment). Since 1995, we have donated more than $150,000 to Community Shares member agencies.
St. Baldrick's Foundation: Our employee team of "Bald Zingers" has collected more than $32,000 in donations for annual St. Baldrick's Foundation Shave-a-Thons.
Right to Know on GMOs: Celestial Seasonings and our parent company, Hain Celestial, support your Right to Know and to make informed purchase decisions when it comes to GMOs. So we are excited to support the Right To Know Campaign’s 2014 GMO Labeling Ballot Initiatives in Oregon (Measure 92) and our own home state of Colorado (Proposition 105).
Bonfils Blood Center of Colorado: Our employees give of themselves – literally – during twice-annual blood drives here at our Boulder headquarters. Over the past 30 years, our people have donated more than 1800 units of blood to assist Bonfils’ life-saving efforts. In 2010, we received the Bonfils “30 Years of Saving Lives” award for our continuing efforts.
Best Buddy Program: Best Buddy Program. We've donated thousands of stuffed Sleepytime Bears to help children who have had traumatic experiences work through their communication barriers.
Share the Buzz: We partnered with Whole Foods Market for their Share the Buzz program to help support healthier honeybee colonies across the country.
Blue Sky Bridge and Family Advocacy Program: We support this program that works to end child abuse through prevention and intervention.
Emergency Family Assistance Association: We contribute to this group to help members of our local community meet their daily needs and work toward self-sufficiency.
We're active members of the American Botanicals Council (ABC), the Organic Trade Association (OTA), the Organic Center for Education and Promotion (OCEP), the American Spice Trade Association (ASTA) and the Tea Association of the USA.
In addition to receiving generous benefits like wellness and tuition reimbursement, our employees are encouraged to donate their time and efforts toward the charitable causes that are most important to them.
